Paintball apparel differs for everybody. Some want camouflage to blend into the woods while others want
flashy colors and designs offered by "speedball" apparel. Jerseys, pants, pads, and vests are all examples of
standard paintball clothing. Is all of it necessary? No, but as a beginner you will soon notice how helpful some
of these items can be.
Jerseys and pants offer basic protection from slides, dives, and also offer a barrier for the paintball to bounce off
of instead of breaking. Pads offer extra padding for the more aggressive players. Elbow and knee pads
to cushion a dive or slider shorts to protect you during a rough slide. While those pads may not be necessary for
everybody, we all know that finger shots are painful. Gloves, while not perfect, will minimize damage and pain
to the hand and fingers.
